Their product is terrible quality. A yard hydrant rusted out in less than 20 months. 90 warranty. Always check the warranty on product. If it's 30, 60 or 90 days that pretty much tells you that they have very low quality product.

Equipment quality

All equipment was purchased new at different times. First issue was the pump. Digital display was flashing and pump was not turning on. The same issue has occurred 3 times and now pentair is refusing to resolve our issue. Just before the pump stopped working the heater would randomly turn on while set in the off position that has resulted in high bulls.

I bought a Pentair STR 151 in last August, it was...

I bought a Pentair STR 151 in last August, it was running well. But the water level decreased and the pump has worked with insufficiant water. Since that time, the pump is not pumping water any more and I do not know how to reactivate. I tried to add some water above the skimmer level, but it is not enough to reactivate the pump. My Ichlor 30 was replaced last October (2022) after waiting all summer for a replacement. I used chlorine all summer. Upon start up of my pool this year (2023) the Ichlor 30 didn't work, contacted Pentair twice via the Pentair app. No response. They had an old email on file. Contacted the professional installer who put it in twice, no response. Very frustrated. Finally called them and started a 2 month saga, they sent a part, I swapped it, no go. They said their warranties only cover from the original install date and that the one they installed in 2022 was NOT covered. Horrible company

We have almost 5 years trying to get their equipment working with the app. I am to my wits end. PLEASE use another company for your pool equipment. The story is too long and keeps on giving negatively

Too many over 5 years to tell you in a square box. However if you want to be frustrated beyond measure you can use Pentair.

Pentair Globrite LED lights are known by the company to be defective, yet they continue to sell them without any correction. The lights fail in less than a year due to water leaking into housing. There is a design flaw they know about. The "O" ring fails and other water intrusion points on the housing allows water in. These lights are expensive and fit into a priority designed housing so no other manufacturers lights can be used

Dear Pentair Pool CEO, Mr. Stauch:

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I recently received from your company.

We recently had a technician from your company come to our home to repair our pool, but unfortunately, the technician not only broke a pool part but also did not fix the Easy Touch, Salt Cell, resulting in the pool not running at high speed.

We are extremely disappointed with the service we received, especially given the reputation of your company. We expected better from a company as reputable as yours, and we are very dissatisfied with the current state of our pool.

We urgently request that you send a technician to our home as soon as possible to fix the issue properly and ensure that our pool is functioning at its full capacity.

We also request that you take the necessary steps to ensure that your technicians are properly trained and equipped to handle these situations and prevent them from occurring in the future.

We hope that you will take this matter seriously and take immediate action to resolve this situation. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Horrible Quality Control

I think they are probably a great engineering company that has horrible quality control on manufacturing. I went through 2 pumps in just as many months. Supposedly bad batch. I am on my 3rd light replacement on all of my lights because they all leak. My pool installer told me they had a huge batch of those that had problems. Well, why were those sent out to the market? Because they have NO quality control.

Pentair company warranty

I have had 2 Matertemp 125 pool heaters and I can honestly say they ran well for a few months after they were installed. Both heaters broke down and one being 75 days old.Pentair said my heater exchange was bad from low PH Level. This company sucks and I wish I would have read the reviews before I bought it. I am not alone in my gripe with this company

They Are Horrible

Bought a water softener alternative system for my home 2 years ago. Had auto deliveries for my filters.

Seems that's no longer the case. Would have been nice had Pentair reached out to it's customers to let them know this. Now they no longer sell to residential folks like me, and not only that, but you also cannot get a hold of anyone in their customer service to find out where to get your filters from. Total bs if you ask me.

Had I known this would happen, I surely would not have spent over $3k for a water system just to be thrown aside like I don't matter. I am pissed off. Pentair is a total nightmare and a joke.

I would have been better of going to Home Depot and buying their system. At least they aren't going anywhere.

Broken Prowler Pool Robot

Pool robot has broken 3 times in less than 2 years. I have reported the problem with no solution from Pentair. My warranty expires next month, and I feel they're waiting it out so they wont have to repair or replace the unit. Stay away from Pentair. They don't stand behind their products and care less about customer service. Just check the reviews online and with the BBB. It says everything you need to know about Pentair.

I have emailed Pentair at least 3 times and no reply. I have purchased Pentair GAC-10 activated carbon granular cartridge from Amazon which is made in China. On this cartridge there is a warning label. Which I have a concern. I would like to know if this cartridge is ok to use? I would appreciate an answer. Thanks

Heater

I have been a pool owner for 50 Years, I always had Haywood products.each component of filter system seemed to last forever.!t ran trouble free for 10 to 15 years.

A little under 3 years ago, I had a new pool installed. Within 3.

Months the filter pump needed to be replaced. The pool installer got it replaced at no cost, just inconvenience The next year opening, did not go well. My $4,000 heater failed to work. Again it was replaced under warranty.

Just inconvenience again. Last year it worked, however this year, the control valve on the top of the tank developed a crack on the inlet side, so now it leaks quite a bit. Now I try to turn on the heater, and it doesn't work again, this time it is a different problem. My installer, who also owns the company, does not return my calls.

I am having trouble getting to a live person at Pentair. I know in this day and age nothing is built to last, but I think it should function for a few years.

You haven't explained your issue well. They do not replace heaters under warranty.

They would have repaired it. Curious what the issue was. With all the electronics the heaters have, they are sensitive to air flow and water flow.

I have seen so many people think a "Service heater light" means the heater is broken. So many times, it is telling insufficent water flow which is generally a dirty pool filter.

I purchased a pentair 125 pool heater to replace an existing pentair 125 that had a bad heating coil. New unit arrived undamaged. When hooked up the gas doesn't light. I called they said I voided warranty by installing it myself. The supplier said I have a 60 day warranty. Called beck they admitted I have a 60 day warranty. Now I have to pay a technician to come and repair it. Send it to pentair and they decide if they pay. They could care less and dump the responsibility on you. I spent another 800.00 and repaired my old pentair 125 and it works perfectly in the same spot.be
